When and how to file a claim
Once damage occurs, please follow these steps to file a Builders Risk claim:
1. Call Ermitage Risk immediately at 970-725-6683, or reach out to us at claims@ermitagerisk.com. We cannot adjust claims on behalf of the insurance company, but we will support you in working with your insurer to make sure your claim is adjusted quickly and we can get your project back on track.
2. Document the incident: take pictures, videos, and detailed notes documenting the damage or loss for evidence in the claim process. We’ll help you create an overview of all the damages and point to documentation and evidence that you can submit to the insurance company.
3. Notify the insurer and submit the documentation you’ve prepared. They will open a claim for you and provide you with a claim number.
4. Cooperate with the insurer’s investigation process and provide more information where required. They may request receipts or even a cost estimate for repairs.
5. The representations you and your team make during the claims process must be accurate and documented at all times.
